Fraud Ayyappa Dass and Azeeza Jalaludeen

Go Global Business School Private Limited, India, a subsidy of Shine GoGlobal, Asia is a ponzy business accelleration company.

They have MLM type of training programs, where people are promised to get trained in business, and are promised to give the same training to different companies formed under Go Global Business School Private Limited. They demand around 50,000 Indian Rupees from the victims, which they promise would be multiplied by the opportunities to train businesses formed under Go Global Business School private Limited, India. After few months, when there is no training opportunity, the victims would be frustated and ask for returning of the money. At that time, Go Global Business School private limited directors would tell them that their invested amount is only for the online or offline training they received from Go Global Business School. They would also ask the victims to become team leaders where they have to refer at least 2 people every month into their training programs to get a commission. Initially 50% commission would be given to the victims, later the refered people would be given positions in the newly formed child companies of Go Global Business School private limited, thereby avoiding the referal comission being given to the victims.

They lure people into investing into their company to become cofounder, but do not give them enough shares for the amount of money they collect. They also start private limited companies by making victims invest an amount once again for company formation along with one of the scammer themselves as one of the Directors of the newly formed companies. Later they send their resignation to the ROC, and demand the victims to give back their invested money. They would not have a clear Exit strategy mentioned in their company formation documents. Also, all their legal documents will not have clearcut promises.

Homeschooling and college

As children grow out of their little pants and are ready to begin
their teens, many parents wonder if they should continue with the
homeschooling program. They fear that colleges may not give equal
opportunities to a child educated at home.

Many fears of this kind were put to rest when 2 homeschooled boys
got admission into Harvard. Harvard does not require a high school
diploma for gaining admission to their degree program. Many
colleges are more interested in the knowledge and behavior of the
homeschooled children rather than their high school diplomas. In
fact, other things being similar many colleges prefer
homeschoolers because of the diversity and richness they bring to
their college life.

Admission requirements may vary. While some colleges require the
child to appear for the SAT, others may need a general equivalency
diploma. And some may not care for any tests at all. The criterion
may vary depending on the college that you wish to apply to. But,
college courses really do not require any high school background
or special training.

It is common to come across parents who frantically try to shift
out their homeschool children to high schools because they fear
unavailability of college admissions. But college admissions are
open to all educated individuals, regardless of whether they are
educated at home or at a public school.

Homeschool - Field trips

If you are going over a particular subject with the family and
feel that a field trip would be beneficial, then that's what you
should do - go for a trip. If you are attached to a support group,
you can plan to include other children too.

Here are some guidelines that will help you plan:
1) Collect the rates
2) Allowed ages
3) Special highlights
4) Size of the group
5) Timings
6) Eating facilities

Inform your support group of all these details well in advance so
that the necessary circulars may be sent out. On the appointed
day, arrange to meet with other parents and children in a
particular place. Plan the mode of travel and reach the place at
least 10 minutes in advance.

The field trip is not just fun. So, let your kids bring their
writing material. Allow them time to stare and admire. Do not
hurry them along. Collect data beforehand so that you can clear
doubts. Get help from a guide, if necessary. And most importantly,
have fun and enjoy the time you spend with your children.

Homeschool burnout

When a parent takes on the responsibility of educating his or her
child, homeschool burnout is one of the more common issues they
have to deal with. There are many reasons that lead to this
burnout: an illness, a new baby, added responsibility, change in
routine etc.

The symptoms of burnout vary from lack of patience to overeating
and crying without any apparent reasons. Surprisingly, a burnout
need not be such a bad thing. It is a wake-up call - an indicator
that things are not going well and that you need to reschedule.
Reversing or avoiding a burnout is possible if you get fair
warning.

Firstly, lower your expectations. Do not be a perfectionist. Take
the good days with the bad. Next, when something does not seem to
work, look for alternative methods. Flexibility is a key
factor. If tension starts mounting, take a break. When necessary,
change the style of teaching. For instance, small children love to
take on their spellings when they quiz an adult.

Avoid overkill. Do not pack too many activities for the sake of
socializing your child. A worn out mom means a grouchy kid and
that means no happiness. Get support from your spouse or a
neighbor or a support group. Don't try to achieve everything by
yourself. Homeschooling means 'happy schooling' - don't forget
that.

HOME SCHOOLING CURRICULUMS: WHERE TO START

Now that you have a solid understanding of what your school requires, do not sit back. You have a lot of work to do to get your child ready for his new education. In particular, you should start your search with the curriculum.

A curriculum is the course of study that he or she will work through. Although some parents would like to be completely in charge of their child's education, it may be better to incorporate a curriculum because it allows for your child to learn required information at an age appropriate level. In other words, the child is learning what he or she would be learning in a traditional school, or more.

There are many types of curriculums. Your state laws may require that you have an approved by the state curriculum. If this is necessary, be sure to look for this information any program that you use. You may want to put together your own curriculum, but it can be far easier and give you more options if you purchase a premade curriculum.

In this chapter we will look at some of the options you have for curriculum selection. You may be happy to learn just how many options you have available to you. Do not get overwhelmed; just do some detailed research and never rush the process.

Tips For Selection

Take some time to browse through the available curriculums available both online and through offline retailers. You want to get as much information about these programs as possible. In short, your goal is to be able to see not only what is included in the curriculum but also what format it is being taught in. Even more so, you may need to consider both your short-term goals and requirements and your long-term goals. Encompassing these key aspects is critical to selecting a curriculum that will benefit both you and your child's education.

The following are some key areas to explore. Keep each of these in mind as you look for the right home schooling curriculum.

Child's Needs And Strengths

One of the good things about a home schooling curriculum is just how flexible it can be to meet your child's specific educational requirements and needs. In particular, your child's strengthens can be added to while other aspects can be strengthened.

Some of the companies offering a home schooling curriculum will provide you with excellent tools to aid you in learning where your child's strengths and needs are. These are done through aptitude tests which may be mailed into the organization or, which is becoming more popular, these tests can be done right online. This is an easy way to learn where your child stands in home schooling.

  • Determine what areas of education your child excels in.
  • Learn where your child's weaknesses or opportunities may lie.
  • Learn about the areas that your child is most interested in and seems to enjoy.
  • Find out the way that your child learns, such as through hands on activities or through reading.
  • Find out where your child stands on his or her religious or world view needs, which is often a focus of many home schooling programs.

All of these aspects are critical to expand on. You will find that most of the home schooling curriculum companies help you to examine these specific areas so that your child can obtain a better level of education from them.

Research Teaching Options

The student is a key component of the process of selecting a home schooling curriculum, but so is the parent. You may have your own wishes, ideas and plans that you wish to add to the home schooling process. That is fantastic and it is an opportunity for you to do exceedingly well. The key is, though, that you need to find methods that work for your child and your needs.

Look at the various types of programs available. Inspect them for the aspects that help to make them a good option for you and your child.

  • What method of teaching is used? This could be a structured style which is just like school in the home or it could be in the un-schooling style, which is based on where the child's particular interests are.

  • Consider accelerated learning programs designed for students who are exceptionally gifted. Parents may not want to place their child in these programs unless they have tested for them, in the first year. This could hold back students who may not grasp the information at a fast enough pace.

  • Determine if there is use of computer aided learning, which is becoming more popular in many upper levels of education for students.

Teaching options are often readily displayed in the programs. You are sure to find a range of different options to consider. If you are unsure about what you should select, take some time to learn what other parents are doing and how well it is working for their particular child's needs. This can help you to assure your child, and yourself, that you can home school around a method that matches everyone's particular needs and desires.

Explore Your Teaching Philosophy

Your teaching philosophy is important to understand. Many aspects play a role in this area.

Take some time to explore your own ideas and feelings on your child's education. Here are some questions to ask yourself.

  1. Do you like the approach of learning through textbooks?

  2. Do you feel that you have the ability to design your own curriculum and meet state required standards? Do you feel comfortable with purchasing from a variety of publishers?

  3. Do you feel children need good lecturing, and as such, will you want to spend more time with hands on teaching with your child?

  4. What about literature? Do you think that it should play a significant role in your child's education? Rather, do you want your child to learn history from biographies and textbooks?

  5. How do you view life's ups and downs? Are they learning experiences or mistakes?

  6. How much time and energy do you honestly have to put into a lot of hands-on style of experiments and projects?

  7. Do you want your child to learn independently, rather than working hand in hand with you?

Your selection of a curriculum can be enhanced after you have explored these very personal opinions of how your child will learn. There are no right or wrong answers here, just questions you should ask yourself.

Now that you have some basic information, head out and start looking at your options for curriculums. Research them and really work to understand where your options are. Do not make a decision just yet, but narrow down your options based on the ideas that you know have in your mind.

Key Points

It is important to realize that there are no perfect curriculums out there. You will have to go through a period of trial and error until you find one that seems to work the best for you. In fact, most people do go through a period of time where they are switching from one curriculum to another, because they are unsure which is the better fit for the child and for the parent. But, it is important to avoid too many switches. If something is really wrong or not working, do look elsewhere. But, for the most part, unless there is some specific reason, you should stick with the program you have selected. This will give your student the best opportunity to learn because of the continuity.

Also, do not feel like you have to purchase the most expensive products on the market. You do not have to spend a lot of money to get a high quality curriculum for your home schooling. Rather, what you may want to focus on is choosing a program that you can really get behind and believe in. There are excellent sources for information and planning.

  • Visit the local library: you will find books to teach just about every topic that you want to cover there.
  • Use the local historical society for history lessons and educational information for social studies and sciences.
  • Do not overlook museums who work for many aspects of education from science to history to art and health.

Many of these organizations have programs for home schooling parents, too, which means they will work hand in hand with you to meet your child's specific goals and needs.

Also, do not turn away older curriculums that you may be given by other parents or from associations you begin to be part of. The fact is, curriculums that were used last year or the year before are still well worth using today. Some parents will pass down the curriculums within the family and they may even use them several times with several children.

On the other hand, do not be fooled into believing that what your friend, family member or someone else is using is going to be the right choice for you. This is not always the case and in some situations, trying to use someone else's product is just not going to work for your child. The same goes for within the family unit. The curriculum used by your oldest child may not work well for your youngest, simply because of the different needs and learning systems that are in place from one child to the next.

Home Schooling Conferences

While later on we will mention some more specifics on this topic, it is important to point out now that home schooling conferences are one of the best ways to learn more about the curriculum options available for your child. Many times, parents will attend these conferences and come back with a wealth of tools, samples and even full curriculums that they love because of the unique approaches available to them.

It is always a good idea to visit these home schooling conferences or special events whenever they are available within your city or state. Many people will find that they can get lots of options to consider. More so, one of the best things about these programs is that you can easily browse through the curriculum on your own, in your hands, before you purchase anything. That way, you can see exactly how it is structured and what it has to offer to you.

Most of the time, you will also find that these conferences will offer a wealth of support and guidance to the home schooling family to use. If your family is new to home schooling, these groups are an ideal place to visit. You will find outstanding inspirational speakers who can help you to feel good about the hard work it takes to home school. And, in some cases, you can even find good home schooling curriculum products available for sale that are used or older models. So, yes, you can save money on these as well!

Online Resources

Now that you have a good idea of what it takes to purchase a home schooling curriculum, what if you decide you do not want to go through that process and instead want something that is a bit more "free.”

The good news is that there are some excellent programs available to you online. You will find a range of products to select from, but it is always important to use good judgment with free products found online.

  • Does this product actually help my child to achieve their goals?
  • Who is promoting this product?
  • Does it incorporate my beliefs and my teaching preferences?
  • Is it valuable enough to invest my child's time into it?
  • Is this the best product for my son or daughter?

The good news is that there are some excellent products available to help parents that are well worth your time. As long as you ask those questions, you are sure to find yourself in a wonderful position.

Online, you will find free home schooling curriculums available to you. Some of these products are a good choice, but you will want to investigate them thoroughly.

Programs include the Arthur Teacher Guides, Building a School Website, and Manatee Education Materials.

You will find a range of printable items available online, too. These can be activities that help to reinforce what you wish your child to learn through worksheet style programs, arts and crafts or simply educational packages.

In some situations you can find educational kits that are free to home schoolers. These may contain things like lesson plans, copymasters and videos that you can use. A good source for these is your local State Farm Agent, for example, because they provide these free products to area schools.

Reviews: A TOp Choice

Now that you can see just how many options in home schooling curriculums are available, take into consideration which is right for your child. Still not sure, which one is a good fit? That is not surprising since there are so many options to choose from.

One way that you can choose the best curriculum is by investing some time reading reviews from other users. Be sure that the website or other source you use for this information is providing you with the most authentic and actual user reviews and feedback since anything else is not going to provide you the best overall information.

Reviews are helpful, when they are authentic, because they give you a sense of what it will be like to actually use the program with your child. They can help you to see common flaws or high points of any program. This gives you an inside peak into what it is like to use this particular program, or that one.

Take the time to consider your options carefully here. It is critical that you invest in a home schooling program that is an ideal match for your child. Reviews, opinions and even hands on looking through these programs can help you to find the one that is right for your specific needs. More so, you may wish to choose a different curriculum for each subject or just select one that teaches everything your child needs to know.

HOME SCHOOLING LAWS AND THEY EFFECT ON YOU

Home schooling may seem like a personal choice but in many ways it is one that must meet specific legal guidelines. As you consider home schooling, or start to plan for it, one of the first steps you have is to understand the legal requirements you will need to meet.

Why So Much Legal Concern?

Some parents wonder why the government gets so involved in the process of home schooling. But, under the United States Constitution, it is the right of every citizen to receive a quality education. While your intentions may be stellar, other parent's intentions may not be and this is where the policing of home schooling comes into play.

The fact is, the government wants to ensure that students are being educated in such a way, as they will become protective, respectable parts of society. If children receive an inferior education, they may struggle the rest of their lives because of this. As you commit to educating your child at home, realize that most of the laws in place regarding home school are specifically designed to help you and to help your children to stay on course.

The amount of educational laws regarding home schooling differs on a state-by-state basis. Some states require far more involvement than others do. Take a look at the following.

In the following states, there is no requirement for notice to be given. That means that these states allow home schooling but parents do not need to report on how well the child is doing or what is being taught. This includes the states of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Connecticut, New Jersey Missouri, Oklahoma, Alaska, Texas and Idaho.

In the following states, there is the requirement for parents to send in notification stating the education of the child. Here, parents simply provide the information. This applies to the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California and Delaware.

The next step is for those states that have more strict requirements. In these states there is moderate regulation. Here, the state does require for parents to send in notifications as well as test scores and at some points there is the need for professional evaluation of the student and where his or her progress is. This is the type of requirement found in the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Maryland, the District of Columbia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.

The final level is for those states providing the most rigid requirements. Here, high regulation states, there is the requirement for parents to send in proper notification, test scores from achievement testing, professional evaluation may be required, plus there are other requirements. For example, the curriculum may need to be approved by the state. Teachers and/or parents must meet specific requirements. Some states also require home visits by state officials at some points. States that have these higher levels of regulation include the states of Vermont, New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and North Dakota.

To learn more about the home schooling laws and requirements, you can visit the educational department of the state you live in. Alternatively, you can find resources like HSLDA at www.hslda.org/ that can help you to research these requirements.

These laws effect each person who is home schooling within the United States. Also, keep in mind that these laws change! Do not count on the information you find online to be fully updated. Instead, check with the local authorities to ensure that you are meeting or exceeding these requirements.

IS HOME SCHOOLING RIGHT FOR YOU?

Home schooling is the process of teaching, or educating, your child from home rather than sending them to a traditional school setting. Many parents have found that schools to not provide enough individual attention. Lessons plans are not focused on the level of their child (both advanced and beginner levels are left out.) More so, some parents find that home schooling is just the natural thing to do.

As you read through this book, keep in mind the importance of making this decision as a family. You will find that home schooling can be incredibly beneficial to you and to your family, but it is critical for you to all be committed to the process.

This is, after all, your child's education. From this will sprout the beginnings of his or her life.

Key Questions To Ask

Asking the question, "Should I home school?" is common. People want to be able to be in charge of their child's education and they want to know exactly what their child is learning. But, they are often overwhelmed at the mere thought.

Is this something that I can do?

Am I qualified?

Do I have enough time?

As you consider whether you should home school your child, consider some important factors first, factors that can help you to decide if it is a good thing, or not.

  • Time
Time is the biggest factor in many people's decision to home school, or not to. You will need to dedicate a good portion of your day to the tasks involved in home schooling. The process is involved, more than spending a few hours reading over books. You also need to manage things like experiments and field trips to parks. Plus, you have to commit to lesson plan design, which in itself can take up a lot of your time.

  • Financial Aspects
Believe it or not, home school does not have to cost too much money. The only drawback in terms of money is the fact that one parent really does need to be at home, doing the home schooling, rather than working. This type of sacrifice may be acceptable in some families but in others it may not be possible.

  • Social Skill Development
Because students are at home, there is often the need to provide extra socialization time for them than they would normally be getting from classmates, teachers and others in a school setting. You will need to commit to getting your child involved with other kids as social contacts are critical to their development.

  • Your Time
While time is already mentioned, realize that home schooling can encompass so much of your day that you may find yourself overwhelmed, without any time left for yourself. It is best to focus solely on yourself, at least for a few hours a week, so that you can be refreshed.

  • Organized
If you do not have an organized plan in place, chances are good that you will struggle during home schooling. Not only do you have to worry about all the things that there are to do with home schooling, but you also have to manage your home. All of the books, appears and projects need to be organized, neatly. This clutter can be hard for some people.

Beyond these aspects, there are several other important things for you to consider. First, are both you and your child's other parent in agreement about the benefits of home schooling and taking on these important tasks within the home? It is common that one parent will be the "teacher" for lessons but the other needs to be the backup. Talk to each other about the commitment and responsibilities so that both of you are in agreement before pursing this task.

Also, talk to your child about your desire to home school them. In particular, if the child has been enrolled in school previously, he or she may not be too sure about home schooling. Talk to them and be sure they are alright with the process. If not, find out why and be sure you consider their abilities to cooperate with you.

Many people are frustrated with the thought of home schooling because they are focused on one aspect: the teaching! As long as you can read and write well, you will be able to work through the programs with your children. More so, if you do not understand something, there are plenty of examples and notes for you included in most quality curriculums. If your child becomes so advanced that you can no longer handle the process, consider working with a tutor or even using online programs for these challenging areas.

The Effect Vs The Benefit

As you consider home schooling your child, take in some of the important factors that play a role in this decision. In particular, consider the benefits versus the drawbacks of educating your child within your home instead of using a traditional setting.

  • Benefit 1: Your child is working with you, at his or her grade level.
This is a huge benefit to children who may need some extra time in some areas. And, it works well for those students who get bored because they are not being challenged enough.
Disadvantage 1: It does encompass more of your time. Especially in the younger grades, you will need to commit to your children on a regular basis. You will need to be hands on with them most of the day. For some parents, there just is not enough time in the day.

  • Benefit 2: You can incorporate your own religious beliefs into your program.
A nice feature about home schooling is your ability to teach students what you wish them to understand about religious, creation and other areas. More so, if there is a topic that you want to spend more time on, you can do that. You do have some flexibility in the curriculum that you teach. What's more, the curriculums that are available today are high quality and are easily used to accomplish these types of goals.
Disadvantage 2: You do have to stick with state standards of education.
It may be difficult for some parents, but home schooled children do have to maintain the specific requirements of students within the state. This means passing state required testing and it means teaching key subjects to the level expected of the child.

  • Benefit 3: You can enrich your child's education more.
While many schools are very limited in the actual experiments, hands on activities, and other enriching activities due to budget restraints, this is not the case in home schooling. You can take your children to the park to explore a natural animal habitat up close. You can do amazing experiments within your home. There are unlimited opportunities for advancement here.
Disadvantage 3: Stereotypes are out there.
There is nothing wrong with home schooling but you may find that some people are not happy about them. They may feel that children are not socialized or not educated as well as they could be. So long as you do a great job in these areas, it is likely that your child will score better on achievement tests than those students who remain in standard public schooling.

It is important to note that you are not long in making your decision to home school. If you are still unsure about whether or not this is the right choice for you, consider contacting a few professionals that an help you to decide.

  • Talk to your family, especially if there are other home schooling families in it. What is their day-to-day life like? Is this something you can handle?

  • Talk to friends and local home schooling parents. You can often find them through quick local searches online or by contacting your local educational department.

  • Talk with your city's educational department. Find out from them what they offer for home schooling families, what the process is like and if there are any local concerns that you should know about and often times plan for.

  • Get online. There is great help available to any parent who is considering home schooling. Learn from the people that already know what it is like and who can help you to make the best decisions regarding your children because they have been there and done that!

Once you have determined that the benefits of home schooling have outweighed the actual disadvantages (which they normally do) then you will want to jump right in. You can start home schooling in the middle of the year, at the beginning or even with your toddlers. The key is to get started.

Financing homeschooling

When people talk about teaching their children from home in the
absence of any definite or structured curriculum, it is perhaps
natural to think that homeschooling is cheap. But this is far from
the truth. Although homeschooling does not stick to any particular
text, this is perhaps more of a bane than a boon, when it comes to
finance.

When you need to make sure that your children receives
state-of-the-art education so that they can compete with regular
school goers, expenses will naturally mount. The actual cost of
educating a child at home is surprisingly high. Up-to-date
textbooks, course materials, a library, computing equipment,
lighting, specially designed furniture all cost money. In this
case, the cost may be slightly lesser when it comes to
homeschooling the second child. Add to this any additional tuition
cost for tutors who come to teach subjects that cannot be handled
by parents, like higher-level math or science. The total cost can
be a bit mind boggling.

If you take another important factor into consideration,
homeschooling costs may effective triple. The need for having one
of the parents tied to the house and fully dedicated to providing
education deprives the family of a second earning member. The
average homeschooling teacher is usually a lady with a college
degree. This means that she can easily bring home a pay of $35,000
or more. It is also interesting to note that most families that
have more than 2 children do not opt for homeschooling at all.

But, there are those who have been successful in carrying out
homeschooling at low rates. This is dependent on the size of the
family, the support group, the type of materials used and the
availability of the material. When successive children can reuse
the materials, cost goes down. Much of the course material can be
got from vendors of homeschooling materials. A membership in a
public library, theatre, concerts, ballets and other cultural
events also help in cutting costs. Sometimes, it is even possible
to barter expertise. For instance, the mother of an 8-year old
gives dancing classes, and her daughter receives drawing classes
for free. Support groups allow you to divide the cost of field
trips, science projects and fairs.

Whatever the cost, advocates of homeschooling say that the
benefits far outweigh these considerations. When you are able to
decide what knowledge your child receives and when he or she
should be taught and to what extent, it gives you a lot of freedom
and a lot of power. Both the children as well as the parents
benefit from this mutually enriching experience.

Disadvantages of public schooling

When we consign our children to public schools, we feel satisfied
that they are receiving 'quality education'. But, are we really
getting our money's worth? More importantly, are the children
gaining anything from this kind of a learning procedure?

Socialization is hailed as one of the greatest advantage of
schools. This is the place where the child picks up the rudiments
of social skills that help him survive. But in truth, a regular
school-going child can interact only with his peers. He may bully
younger children or fear older ones. He does not know how to
behave with an adult. This is because in the school environment
he interacts only with his peers. A homeschooling environment
brings in a more natural social environment.

A regular school going child cannot read literature. He cannot
keep silent or think in depth about any one thing. The artificial
'busy'ness imposed upon him by the school disallows quiet
contemplation. Rowdy and destructive behavior, as seen among
peers, is more noticeable in school-goers.

There is little long-standing knowledge among regular school goers
because most things are learnt for the exam. There is no
correlation of facts with life. The child may know a lot, but
understands very little. This is where the homeschoolers beat the
regular school goers. Ultimately, homeschoolers emerge more adept
at facing the outside world.

Benefits Of Homeschooling

Why let Tim and Lisa learn at home than send them to school?
Well, first of all, you don't have to wake them up at 7 every
morning and bundle them off to school with umpteen numbers of
instructions, and wait with an anxious heart till they return.
Homeschooling gives you more control over the influences that
affect your child. The growth and development of your child
is removed from the realm of the unknown. You, and you alone
can decide what your child needs to do or learn. Tailoring
the curriculum to suit the needs and interests of the child
is one of the most obvious benefits of homeschooling

Individual attention is another salient benefit of
homeschooling. For instance, if Lisa needs more time to learn
Math, then she can reduce the time for her English lessons.
There are no fixed hours of learning per subject. This means
that a child has the advantage of assigning more number of
hours to the subject that seems tough WITHOUT any additional
pressure. The amount of time needed to learn each subject
will depend on the abilities and interests of the child.

The schooling of the child becomes an extended family activity.
Parents get involved in every step of the learning procedure.
Field trips and experiments become family activities. Thus,
the child receives more quality time with his parents. The
entire family shares games, chores and projects. Family
closeness becomes the focus here. The child is also free of
any negative peer pressure while making choices and decisions.

Competition is limited when it comes to homeschooling. The
child does not need to prove his ability with regards to other
children. His confidence remains intact. Since parents have a
deep understanding of their child, they can plan the learning
program to pique the child's interest. It is also possible to
intersperse difficult tasks with fun activities. A tough hour
with Algebra can be followed by a trip to the nearest museum.
Learning becomes fun. Parents can also tailor the curriculum to
suit the learning style of the child. Some children learn through
reading, while others need to write, and still others need to see
objects in action.

Homeschooling allows parents to take control over the moral and
religious learning of the child. Parents have the flexibility to
incorporate their beliefs and ideologies into the child's curriculum.
There is no confusion in the child's mind either because there is
no variation between what is being taught and what is being practiced.

Lastly, more and more parents are getting disillusioned with the
public school system. They believe that their children are being
pushed too hard or too little. Other worrying issues pertaining to
discipline and ethics also make the school system less welcome. Many
repudiate the educational philosophy of grouping children solely on
the basis of their age. Some parents themselves have unhappy memories
of their own public school experience that motivates them to opt for
homeschooling when it comes to their own children.

Homeschooling is the best way to teach a child if you have the time,
the ability and the interest to follow through with his education. After
all, nobody can understand or appreciate your child more than yourself.

After school activities and relationship building

After school activities are the rage of the day. With about $500 million
invested in these programs and more than 10 million children attending
them in America alone, the popularity of these activities cannot be
overlooked. Everyone understands the need to develop new skills, gain more
knowledge and keep the children safe when parents are working.

The most important factor in the success of any program is the
relationship between the children participating in the program and the
adult members who work with these children. Often, children may confide in
an adult member who is not a teacher. This kind of emotional interaction
is a must when children are struggling to make sense of the whirlpool of
emotions that assail them.

Direct contact with professionals can be an inspiring experience. Children
are very much impressed by the knowledge and experience of these adults.
Young people gain a lot of knowledge and experience when they deal with
experienced adults and older youth who serve as teachers or mentors in
these programs. These mentors are different from the teachers in the
school and children are more likely to draw inspiration from them.

After school activities that are managed professionally by people who are
successful in their own fields of expertise will produce children who are
more enthusiastic and successful. Meaningful interaction with adults is a
learning experience in itself.

After school activities for the overweight

Research and studies show that our children are growing fater by the
day. Many families all over America are struggling to keep the weight of
their children within reasonable limits. As a parent, I know that it's
nearly impossible for me to look into the tear-filled eyes of my son and
refuse food.

So, what's the alternative? Studies show that the number one reason for
obesity in children is not junk food and colas. It's actually TV.
Children tend to plop themselves on the sofa and munch away happily when
they are in front of the TV sets. But, once the set is off, their natural
buoyancy will lead the children to do stuff and to move their body. THey will then be diverted from eating.

Recreational after school activities are a must if you feel that your
child is beginning to put on undesirable fat. It is better to begin these
activities as early as possible. The more weight the child gains, the
harder he has to work to shed it. Football, swimming, skating and Karate
are just some activities he can participate in. Structured and disciplined
exercise is possible only when one is put into a formal environment. That
is why an overweight child simply HAS to be put into an after school
program of this kind.
This is the blog for the movement I am planning to start.Eradicating illitracy is my dream.I am planning to cut down on few things and encourage few things to make this movement a helpful one for many needy children.

My basic plan is to start a resource pool of people and talents.Whoever has the will to help poor get educated can join this blog. Also in this blog people who are already running NGOs or other organizations will be joining. The needs and the will to help out the needs will be discussed in this blog.MONEY needs shall not be in this blog.Other needs such as people needed to teach Physics ,Maths or the regiona language or a psychiatric counselling for children could be made in this blog.Everybody would be helping the children in their own way of doing it yet seminars may be conducted on a periodic way to eradicate flaws in teaching and also to improve the quality of Teaching.I woul like to have both experienced leaders and creative youth to be in this movement.

First Consultation CEN Successful

The First consultation cum Seminar for the Childen Education Network went well.

We have Decided the Following things as the Networks main concepts
1.We would not collect money from Anyone
2.We would use the talents of different people to educate the children in need.
3.The movement would act as a resource pool.
4.We would also join with other NGOs related to children and help then educate the children.

my thoughts!

This evening I met a boy who is supposed to be in 6th Standard.

He was selling ground nuts near a park. He was pleading and begging me to buy ground nuts. My brother in law who was with me was moved by his story. His dad ran away and him mom does some household jobs. He is the leader in his school and he needs Rs.200 for school fee.

once bitten I wanted to make sure that his story is true and he is really deserving. Once two boys did this project in Trichy and reportedly collected huge money. When we gave one of those boys a good lunch and sent one of my friends with money for his tution fee to Manapparai, there was no such student enrolled in the school.

My brother in law is going to enquire about the boy in the school tomorrow. If the story is true, he will pay the fee. I am planning to sit with that boy and teach him some self respect and soft skills. I do not want him to appeal for the people's sympathy. He needs to be a self respectful kid.

Will talk about the progress....

I congradulate Jeyaseelan on this venture. My prayers and support will always be with you....
